The Deep

Overlooking the stunning Humber Estuary, The Deep is a spectacular aquarium and conservation charity based in Hull.

Home to a vast array of marine life, marvel as sharks soar over your head in the impressive underwater tunnel, or come and relax in the ambient jellyfish space. With plenty of opportunities to stop and gaze, take a journey through oceans past through to the present at your own pace. Get up close to spectacular animals including sharks and stingrays, the UK’s only pair of Green sawfish, hundreds of tropical reef fish, Loggerhead sea turtles, a colony of Gentoo penguins, and much more! There’s plenty to keep all ages entertained.

Stop by the main café for delicious hot breakfasts, meals, sandwiches, cakes and snacks. Or, bring along a picnic and recharge your batteries at ‘Picnic Place’, halfway around the aquarium. The Deep takes pride in being a fully wheelchair accessible aquarium, with lifts and accessible toilets on every floor. There is also a Changing Places Facility on the ground floor, accessible via RADAR key. Situated just off the A63, The Deep is easily accessible by road and is a short walk from the City Centre.
