The BBC Springwatch production crew have stayed here while filming — and guests walk straight off their pitch onto a national trail that leads directly through the rewilding project. In spring and summer, hares sprint through the long grass and marsh harriers quarter the reed beds overhead. In autumn and winter, hundreds of thousands of knot murmurations roll like smoke over RSPB Snettisham — reachable on foot along the same Coast Path, entirely without a car.

Pitches run from hardstanding for campervans, motorhomes, and caravans through to grass pitches for tents — and glamping in Shepherds Huts and Bell Tents for those who want a roof without losing the wild. But the heart of the site is the campfire. Cook over the flames, share food with whoever pitches up next to you, swap stories from the road, and watch the sun drop into the sea two minutes away.
