We specialise in catering for groups, with ‘Days Out’ Packages, which include canal boat trips, and the Pie & Mash Shop. We also have public trip boats, and many more.
An exciting development here at Pennine Boat Trips is that we have two new luxury dayboats for daily hire. They cater for up to a maximum of 10 people, and make a wonderful day out for all the family. They have central heating for those cold days, and outside seating for warmer days! Facilities onboard include an oven, 4 gas hobs, 2 kettles, pots and pans etc, flush toilet, and sink.. and a music system with mP3/iPod attachment. Tea/Coffee/Sugar and milk is also provided.
The 2013 diary is now open, so if you wish to book a cruise with us this year, make sure to get in early with your preferred date! I look forward to welcoming you on board soon.
Private Charters
If you are looking for something special for your next group outing, look no further. Private charters onboard the Dalesman are ideal for functions, birthdays, weddings, excursions, product launches and more. Whatever your occasion, give us a call and we can be sure to help out.
Public Trips
60 minute public trips run every day from 12noon, from March to October. Taking you through beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales, its a wonderful trip to see things from water level. Trips are onboard the Cobbydale, and are accompanied by an interesting commentary from the Dave Spikey – the famous TV comedian. Group rates are applicable. Hot drinks/cold drinks and snacks are available to purchase from the bar.
Pie & Mash Shop
Skipton Pie and Mash Shop is one of the only places to sit and eat traditional pie and mash in the North. Why not come down to the cafe today and see what all the hype is about. We pride ourself on top quality food, freshly prepared from local produce. We invite you to come and enjoy one of today’s specials, at the best cafe in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
Theme Nights
A 3 hour cruise with live entertainment, and a hot supper onboard. Thursday nights from May to September – from Country & Western to Swing. Sailing at 7pm. Bookings essential.
Sunday Roast
Relax and enjoy the scenery as a delicious, traditional, 2 course Raost Dinner is served to your table. Our friendly crew onboard the Dalesman will serve your meal, and any drinks from the bar. The last Sunday of every month, from March to Oct. Bookings essential.
Magical Santa Trips
Run in the weekends of December. A 75 minute cruise, with a wizard on board, and Santa giving out a bag of superb presents for all the children. Coffee/Tea and mince pies for adults. Bookings are to be made well in advance!
