White Lion Hotel

Set opposite the beach on Suffolk’s Heritage Coast in Aldeburgh, the White Lion Hotel has stunning sea views, yet it’s within an easy stroll of the town centre High Street shops and galleries.

A member of The Hotel Folk Group, the hotel has 38 bedrooms with stylish contemporary décor. Many face east with panoramic views out to sea offering a great vantage point to watch the sun rise over the glistening sea in the morning, others face inland looking over Aldeburgh.

The hotel’s vibrant bar is popular with local residents and overnight guests alike. Guests can choose to dine in the hotel’s relaxed Brasserie or its second restaurant, Sea Spice, which serves authentic Indian cuisine.

Being on the coast, fresh fish features on the Brasserie menu including the Chef’s Catch of the day and traditional beer battered fish and chips, which are offered alongside burgers and wholesome classic dishes.

Honouring the breadth and complexities of Indian cooking, the Sea Spice menu ranges from Goan inspired fish and seafood, to tandoori grilled meats, fragrant curries and vegetarian options as well as traditional favourites such as chicken korma and biryani.

Dogs are welcome to stay with their owners in selected rooms (extra). They can also join their owners in the bar area while they dine.
