Halfpenny Green Vineyard

Located in South Staffordshire, 2023 is the year that marks 40 years since Martin Vickers planted half an acre of vines as a ‘hobby’ on his family farm. Little did he know that was the start of the now well-renowned Halfpenny Green Wine Estate.

After 40 years the Estate is still family owned and run, by Martin’s son, Clive and his wife, Lisa. The Estate now produce more than twelve different wines, a mix of White, Red and Rosé and Still and Sparkling. Their wine being available to try and purchase from their onsite Wine, Deli Farm Shop, along with a huge variety of other locally produced food, drink and gifts.

After a mooch around the Farm Shop, customers can relax in the Estate’s Eatery, seating over 100 guests. Visitors can sit with a view of the picturesque vineyard while enjoying freshly homecooked meals from the Kitchen. As well as Breakfast, Main Meals and Light Bites, the Estate’s Eatery offer High Teas daily, by appointment.

In addition, Wine, Gin, Rum and Whisky Tastings are available every day in the Estate’s Wine Loft, and, in the summer, on the Balcony overlooking the South Staffordshire Countryside. For the guests wanting to know more they can participate in the Estate’s Public Guided Tour Experience, available on set days through May – October yearly.

The Craft Village on the site is home to 16 independent businesses, offering handcrafted unique gifts and homeware. Furthermore, the Wild Zoological Park is also on the Estate’s site, well-known for their unforgettable bird shows. The Estate also have three coarse fishing lakes, open daily for pleasure fishing, teams and corporate groups.
