Cantref Adventure Farm and Riding Centre

Cantref is an award winning family run Farm Park located in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park just 3 miles from the market town of Brecon and approximately one hours drive from Cardiff, Newport, Swansea and Hereford.  We are signposted off the A40 Brecon to Abergavenny Road.  Cantref won the Uk Farm Attraction of the Year Award in 2016.

As well as a children’s farm park we also have a Pony Trekking centre where you can ride a horse onto the Brecon Beacons, or a shorter ride along farm bridle paths or even have a riding lesson in our riding school .  We also provide accommodation if you would like to make your visit a little longer.  We have a family friendly camp-site for tents with electric hook-up, shower block and free wi-fi. We also have 3 newly renovated holiday cottages with wood fired hot tubs which sleep 8, 6 and 4 people. We have 2 camping pods with wood fired hot tubs which sleep 2 adults and up to 2 children.  We also have Yurts available during the summer holidays.

We offer VIP Experiences for private groups of up to 6 people for one hour.  Examples of Experiences available include Goat Walking, Pamper a Pony, Small Animal Encounter and Be a Keeper.   Cantref is also the perfect venue to host a kid’s Birthday Party as there is so much to keep the children entertained all day.

Cantref is also a great place to bring a school trip, playgroup outing or other group visit for an end of term trip or even an educational visit which ties into the national curriculum.  We offer great deals for pre-booked groups at any time of year.  Teachers often comment on our great programme of activities and how our carefully programmed schedule makes it a stress free day out.  We offer seasonal events at Easter, Halloween and Christmas.

The Adventure Farm is open Peak Weekends and Local School Holidays from 10.30am to 5.00pm.  Check opening times page for exact open dates.  *Please note the Farm Park can open term time week days for pre-booked groups.

The Riding Centre and VIP Experiences are available all year but are subject to availabilty and must be pre-booked.

We are dog friendly! Dogs are welcome however must be kept on a lead at all times and are not permitted to enter animal enclosures.
