Grange Court

Grange Court has a café on site serving daily specials and homemade cakes.

Grange Court is licensed to hold Civil Marriage Ceremonies and offers a wonderful setting for the most important day in a couple’s life. 

The John Abel room can comfortably sit up to 100 people theatre style, and up to 64 for a sit down lunch or dinner.

The John Abel Room can also be booked for parties,  presentations, conferences, celebrations and concerts.

There are other smaller rooms such as the Mayor’s Parlour & Ellison Room which can be used for a wedding ceremony, comfortably accommodating up to 20 people.  Both these rooms can also be hired for a small meeting, or drinks party.

The beautiful walled garden is an ideal place to host a drinks reception before or after a wedding ceremony, and the perfect location for your wedding photos together with our Knot Garden.

Grange Court, built in 1633, is the last surviving market house known to be built by John Abel, a local master carpenter.  Today it is a Community, Heritage and Enterprise Hub, owned by the people of Leominster through the LARC Development Trust.  It is a place for people to meet, work, learn and enjoy!

Grange Court is open to the public Monday – Saturday 10.00 – 16.00

We are usually closed on Bank Holidays and Sundays.

Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted.

Grange Court has been dismantled, moved, stored, re-erected, extended, and adapted throughout its life to suit its function. The building, as an icon of Leominster, has many stories to tell. Today, Grange Court tells these stories though interactive and tactile displays, a small collection of objects and artefacts, and an innovative tablet tour.

Grange Court is entirely accessible for people with disabilities. We also have a wheelchair and two walking frames on site should anyone wish to borrow them.
