The Raptor Foundation, has been a registered charity for over 30 years. Our aims have always been to aid both injured and captive birds of prey. Firstly, we rescue, rehabilitate and return injured, native birds of prey, back to the wild with extensive knowledge and experience with the aid of local veterinary professionals to give raptors the best chance at survival returning to their natural habitat. Secondly we look to protect and preserve birds of prey through education and conservation. Our site is home to around 170 birds of prey, the majority of which have come from a rescue background. We provide a stable forever home for birds and educate through entertaining, informative & welfare conscious displays showing the amazing natural behaviours of these birds whilst raising awareness for captive & husbandry issues and worldwide conservation. All of our animals are kept to the highest welfare standards to promote & encourage the best standards for keeping birds of prey whilst showing how we and others can help them across the world.

MEET THE BIRDS
This half day experience is the ideal gift for children and adults. Get up really close to the birds.
JUNIOR KEEPER DAYS
Join the keepers for a day to learn what goes on in a small animal park.
MEERKAT EXPERIENCE (CURRENTLY SUSPENDED)
This 30 minute experience is the ideal gift for children (minimum age 8) and adults. Have your photo taken with one of the meerkats and get up really close.
HAWK WALK
A half day experience for lovers of birds and the thrill of a country side. Walking through the country side you will experience what the birds do and the natural hunting methods they employ.
THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE
A full day experience that includes time at the centre handling a variety of birds followed by a walk in the country to see them at their best.
FALCONRY DAY
This full day experience is designed to give you an insight into the needs, housing and care of the birds of prey, including the handling of owls, hawks and falcons.
THE FIVE DAY COURSE IN FALCONRY
A complete experience for those wishing to enjoy the thrill of being with and working amongst raptors. Experience is given in animal husbandry, falconry theory and the needs for keeping birds of prey.
TWILIGHT FLYING
An experience for those wishing to see owls flying at dusk and get a tasty meal included.
PHOTOGRAPHIC DAYS

Falcons Nest
The Falcons Nest offers 3 star guest accommodation in the peaceful grounds of the Raptor Foundation. The Raptor Foundation provided sanctuary for a variety of Birds of Prey as well as running various courses and attractions. Fall asleep with the soft hooting of owls and get free entry to see them while you stay with us. North across the fields from St. Ives, this village is the finest example in Britain of a “Ring Village”, retaining its tight little street layout and encircling road of a type found in dense woodland about 1,300 years ago. The woods have long since disappeared but the overall circle road is still there. A pair of fire hooks, used to remove the thatch from burning buildings, are preserved on a wall in the village. There has been a church in the village since before the Conquest and parts of the present building date from the 12th Century. Cast your ‘eagle eye’ over the old riverside town of St Ives, near historic Cambridge. New purpose built accommodation each with kitchen facilities and shower room.
Caravan Site
Our CL is located on a paddock within the grounds of the Raptor Foundation. We are a team providing a rescue service, 24-hour care and rehabilitation facilities for injured raptors. We provide a permanent, caring environment for raptors unable to return to the wild. We are committed to increasing rare species and sharing knowledge and information on the medical treatment and rehabilitation of raptors. Within easy reach of St Ives and the river Great Ouse and the historic city of Cambridge. At night you can listen to our owls hooting to each other as twilight draws in. Discounted entry available to the Raptor Foundation (dependent on duration of stay). Gently sloping pitches with ample room for awnings.
