Ty Croeso Hotel

Ty Croeso (pronounced Tee Croy-so) translates from Welsh to ‘House of Welcome’ and you can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome from Linda Jarrett and Pavel Vitek.

Ty Croeso is set high on the hillside just above the Monmouth & Brecon canal only half a mile from the charming town of Crickhowell in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Ty Croeso is constructed from Welsh stone and dates from the early 19th century when it was part of a Victorian workhouse.

All of our guest bedrooms are en-suite with television, telephone, radio and tea/coffee making facilities. There are splendid views over the River Usk and the Black Mountains.

On chilly winter evenings we light a welcoming log fire in the lounge, and in summer you may sit outside on the flower-filled terrace.

Ty Croeso is ideally situated for touring and exploring the castles, museums and the fascinating old industrial sites of South and Mid Wales. Leisure activities within a 10-mile radius include walking, horse riding, hang-gliding, angling, sailing, golf, canal boating and caving.

Breakfast and Dinner

Breakfast at Ty Croeso will set you up for the day. You have a choice of a traditional breakfast using local bacon and sausages, a Welsh breakfast where you can sample laverbread and homemade Glamorgan sausage, and, as always we offer a vegetarian option.

Dinner is delicious!
Most evenings we cook, but we need to know if you would like dinner when you make your booking.  We offer a short seasonal menu that changes daily and always includes a vegetarian option. We use fresh local produce and some organic supplies.  We do ask you to make your choices for dinner in the morning as we shop daily.

Our coffee and tea is Fairtrade and we use Fairtrade juice & biscuits in our packed lunches.

We have received Awards in recognition of our efforts to help the environment by recycling, saving energy and reducing waste.

Sorry, we do not accept pets, but guide dogs are welcome.
