James St Aubyn, 5th Lord St Levan lives at St Michael’s Mount with his wife, Mary.

The Mount is a much loved family home as well as Cornwall’s most iconic visitor destination. There is a 30 strong resident island community and over 250,000 day visitors come to enjoy the castle and gardens each year.

The St Aubyn family have owned land in West Cornwall for over 600 years and today the Estate stretches over 5000 acres and includes tenanted farms, an in-hand farm, residential cottages and six holiday houses situated in Porthgwarra and Nanjizal.

The six holiday houses are an integral part of the family’s commitment to West Cornwall as there is a strong need for the rural economy to diversify and sustainable tourism, which is sympathetic to the local environment, creates jobs and enables local businesses to flourish. Holiday Cottages
Our six holiday cottages can sleep between 2-8 people, are 8 miles west of Penzance and 1 mile short of Land’s End. They are situated on or near a beach with entrancing sea views.

They make a perfect base for exploring the South West Coastal Path, surfing hot spots and beaches and are secluded enough for you to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the landscape.

All our houses are also within easy travelling distance of the major attractions in West Cornwall with Land’s End, St Ives and Falmouth all easy to get to as well as popular destinations including St Michael’s Mount, Minack Theatre and Tate St Ives.

All our houses are looked after by our Estate team who take pride in ensuring everything is perfect for your arrival. As a testament to the sheer beauty of the place, some of our guests have been taking holidays with us for well over 40 years and we take great pleasure in welcoming you to share where we live and work.
