Millrace Nursery

We are a newly established nursery specialising in rare and unusual hardy perennial plants, grown on site from stock plants in our garden.
Many of our plants are drought tolerant, including hardy geraniums, salvias, sedums, penstemons, and grasses. We are also building up a good selection of pond plants, and our latest development of a large bog garden means our stocks of moisture loving plants are gradually increasing.

Members of any recognised gardening association will receive 10% discount on plants purchased at the nursery on production of a membership card.

As part of the National Garden Scheme, we open the garden for charity in the summer. Our 2008 open garden days will be on Sun 18th May and Sun 17th August from 1-5pm. Tea and cakes will be on sale with proceeds going to Martin House, the hospice for children.

This year we will also be opening on Sun 29th June for St. Gemma's Hospice, from 1-5pm.

The garden can also be opened for groups by appointment.

Opening Times: 10:00am - 5:00pm

Open March to September on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Open Sundays on 18th May, 29th June and 17th August.
