Now in its sixth year, Countryside Live once again promises something for all the family. The two-day event, which takes place on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October 2008, is the perfect place to experience a mix of the best of rural life alongside fun attractions. It is held in the Yorkshire Event Centre at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, with many of the activities taking place inside the exhibition halls.

The show is going back to its roots this year, with a firm focus on its agricultural heritage. As well as traditional classes for cattle and sheep there are equine classes and horsemanship master classes with international showjumper Graham Fletcher. There will also be pigs at the event for the first time.

Live demonstrations in the cookery theatre will get everyone's tastebuds tingling, and there will be an amazing array of fruit, vegetables, flowers and honey in the other competitive classes. Dog agility demonstrations return, following the amazing success of last year and will no doubt prove hugely popular once again.

In addition, Countryside Live has teamed up with the local radio station, 97.2 Stray FM to host the Stray FM Motor Show as part of the event - featuring on and off-road vehicles, this is sure to be a draw for petrol-heads and non-car buffs alike.

The Education Zone has a craft-based theme this year, with hands-on activities set to include willow-weaving, strawcraft, knitting, bread and sausage-making.

And, of course, donÕt forget to browse the many stands and pick up some early Christmas presents. From fantastic fashions and local produce to stunning jewellery and hand-made crafts, there'll be plenty to catch your eye.

Admission to Countryside Live includes access to the Stray FM Motor Show. Tickets cost £6 for adults, £5 for concessions and £1 for children when bought in advance - just call the ticket sales line on 01423 541222. Tickets can also be ordered online at www.countrysidelive.co.uk from Friday, 1 August. Prices on the gate are £8 for adults, £7 for concessions and £2 for children.

Countryside Live is open from 9am - 5pm on the Saturday and 9am Ð 4.30pm on the Sunday.
