The interior comprises of a large contemporary lounge bar, separate modern, spacious, non-smoking restaurant with balcony, which overlooks private gardens. The exterior boasts extensive car parking, patio area and excellent disabled access. Some of the original features have been retained, such as the hand carved bar, where you can savour your favourite tipple. Simply relax in the lounge bar with its sumptuous sofas, daring artwork and bold colour schemes. We are open from midday to 11.00pm, except Sundays, when we close at 10.30pm. The Nailers Arms started life as a nail-making workshop-cum-brewery back in 1780. The pub has been tastefully refurbished to combine the feel of a traditional country pub with a comfortable modern interior. How Stean Gorge How Stean is a spectacular limestone gorge, situated in an Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, in the very heart of Nidderdale among lush green pastures. Known as 'Yorkshire's Little Switzerland' to the Victorians, the Gorge is crossed by narrow bridges between the rocky paths that lead down and across the rock face. The scenery is breathtaking, and the beck that runs through the Gorge can be anything from a gentle stream to a raging gushing torrent - depending on the rainfall and time of year. |
