Dating back to Tudor times it has a wealth of original features including original stair case, fine beams and traditional coal fires. It was once called the Coach and Horses, the name being changed when coaching travel ceased. The front of the building was altered during Victorian times and to the rear, gardens run down to the river Avon (Shakespeares Avon) with good moorings for many pleasure craft which travel the Avon ring. This family run hotel and restaurant offers extensive lunch and evening menus. Bar meals are also available and a good selection of traditional real ales. There is ample car parking with riverside beer gardens and moorings available. Pershore is on the A44, 9 miles from Worcester and 7 miles from Evesham (Junction 7 off M5). Being a market-garden area, Pershore is especially beautiful during the spring when all the apple, plum and cherry blossom is in bloom.

Eastnor Castle This fairytale castle is as dramatic inside as it is outside. A vast, 60 foot high Hall leads to a series of State Rooms and Gothic Drawing Room designed by Pugin, with its original furniture and to the Italian Renaissance style library which boasts magnificent views across the lake. |
