ImageDating from the 17th Century Alton Bridge Hotel was acquired by its present owners in 1985.  It has since been extended and tastefully refurbished providing comfortable accommodation.  For the comfort and safety of all our guests, the hotel is non-smoking throughout.  British Sign Language Stage 2 qualified proprietor.

Set in the Beautiful and Tranquil Churnet Valley, being bordered by the River Churnet, the Picturesque Alton Bridge and Private Mature Gardens, the Hotel is only 1/2 a Mile from Alton Towers, Britain’s Premier Theme  Park where you will find the latest White Knuckle Rides Nemesis, AIR, Oblivion & RITA Queen of Speed.

The hotel is a convenient base for tourists visiting the Staffordshire Moorlands and Peak District National Park.

This year's features are a special exhibition "No Coward Soul" celebrating the life and work of Emily Brontë the author of Wuthering Heights and a redisplay of Branwell Brontë's paintings. The exhibition will be the first time all of the Society's Emily collection has been on display together.
