Oswestry Show

Oswestry Show is held on the first Saturday in August each year. A committee of approximately 40 volunteers and one part time Show Manager administers the staging of this event. The principle aim of the Show is to promote agriculture and rural ideas to the surrounding community.
We hope you will be able to join us at the Showground, Park Hall, Oswestry on Saturday 2nd August to celebrate our 123rd Show between 9.00 am and 6.00 pm.

Our visitors can enjoy browsing around our Food Hall, Craft and Business Marquees and over 100 trade stands. The Society is proud that we are still able to attract a high percentage of agricultural stands.

Royal Artillery ‘Flying Gunners’ Motor Cycle Display
The Flying Gunners were formed in 1961; the team consists of 24 riders, all of whom are regulars from the Royal Artillery Regiments.
Wherever the Flying Gunners perform, the team’s thrilling action-packed show is always the centre of attraction. The display combines breathtaking high speed double crossovers from the four corners of the arena, when closing speeds may reach 90mph, the worlds fastest crossovers, the 17 man pyramid built on the move, with shows of individual and combined skill which includes amazing feats of balance, machine control, teamwork with riders crossing in mid air inches apart. Set to music and with a professional commentary, the display is ‘….quite simply breathtaking’ The Flying Gunners are a firm family favourite and a regular feature on ‘Blue Peter’ and other television shows.

 Jive Pony Duo
This show is totally unique, wonderfully different and unlike anything a main arena has seen before. This energetic spectacular incorporates dancing horses, simultaneous world class vaulting, gymnastic skills, commentary from horseback and high speed equestrian stunts. The action takes place all around the arena ensuring every in the audience has a good seat. The show uses lots of cheeky humour, has a fantastic sound track and is beautifully presented with an array of fabulous costumes throughout the performance.
Jive Pony Duo is a proven crowd pleaser leaving all who see it delighted.
