![]() Copyright 'Rollasoc' We also raise money for charity during the week long festival which this year runs from Friday 22nd August through to Saturday 30th August and this years main charity is "Hope House" which is a respite home for limited life children. This years main programme starts on Friday 22nd at Bridgnorth Leisure Centre with "Shrop Rock 2" so named as it is the thirtieth anniversary of Shrop Rock 1 which also took place at the Leisure Centre, this event features local bands "Shebangg", "A.P.T" and "TNT" the following day this years Bridgnorth Music Fest has spread its wings and is involviing Chelmarsh in the Festival, although the last two festivals have seen the Bulls Head at Chelmarsh taking part, this year as part of the 'Bridgnorth Music Festival' , The Festival Committee, The Bulls Head and Chelmarsh Sports & Social Club are jointly organising 'The Chelmarsh Bash', to be held outside the Village Club. Live Music will be performed by six different acts from 12.00 noon to 6.00pm, there will be a pig roast , several stalls, bouncy castle for the kids, and many other attractions. The acts playing on the day include 'The Tone Idles', Dave Onions, 'Mojo Hands', 'The Riddlers', 'Flashback 2 The Eighties', & 'The Jameson's'. There will be a camp site available Friday, Saturday & Sunday night for tents, campervans or caravans, at a charge of £5 per pitch per night. Saturday 24th there will be a classical/light music concert in St. Leonards Church, featuring "Waifs & Staves" and Beverley Ball with Holly Williams. Sunday is our main event with Bridgnorth High Street being closed, a stage erected and live music from 12.00pm until 6.00pm featuring "The HMV Band", "Loose Endz", "Stretchneck", "Love Jones" and "The Dockers". Monday we move down to Bridgnorth's Quayside for "Acoustic on the Quay" from 12.00pm with - Anna Rice With the great vocal talents of John T Ford, and the rock and roll backing of Pete Manzini (ex of The Fabulous Manzini Brothers), Tez Clarke (ex of TNT and Smokestack) and Eddie Taylor (ex the F1 PitStop Boogie Band), T Ford and the Sunkings play authentic 1950âs rock and roll from a range of classic singers, bands and songwriters.
