Lake House Cottages are on the outskirts of the pretty, medieval village of Clun.

Situated in the Shropshire Hills AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), the cottages are close to the Shropshire Way and Offas Dyke long distance footpaths, the Carding Mill and Long Mynd and Stiperstones National Nature Reserve, making them a fabulous base for walkers, ramblers and cyclists all year round.

In the village of Clun itself (just 500 yards away), cottage guests can enjoy the village centre with its ancient castle ruins, cafes, pleasant riverside walks and friendly local pubs. Clun has two butchers, a newsagent, garage, Post Office, hardware shop, florist, craft shop and grocery store.   

On the first May Day Bank holiday of the year, Clun holds its annual Green Man Festival to welcome Springtime to the valley. The Festival takes place over three days and includes live music, drama and fun for all the family. The festival culminates in a battle between the Green Man and the Frost Queen on Clun's medieval bridge, followed by a busy craft fair in the grounds of Clun Castle.
