ImageMoors Meadow is an intriguing and eclectic organic garden, full of appeal to the true plantsman. This seven-acre hillside site offers superb views over the Kyre Valley and comprises a variety of environments rich in unusual and exotic plants. There are countless spring bulbs, brimming herbaceous borders, a grass garden, a rhodendron glade, a fernery, a cottage-style garden, a herb garden, and highly productive kitchen
garden.

Originally an agricultural small holding, over the last fifty years it has developed mto a horticultural wonderland, Moors Meadow is home to hundreds of varieties of trees and shrubs from around the world. Here, among many others, you will find such delights as a Japanese Lantern Trees, Foxglove Trees, Indian Bean Trees, Giant Redwoods, a Handkerchief Tree, and even mature New Zealand Kowhai.

The wild-flower meadow runs down to a small lake - just one of several water features in the garden  There are numerons seats and sculptures ingeniously fashioned from old farm implements and scrap. Assorted paths wind through the garden, which adds to the sense of surprise and secrecy, every tum revealing another rarity.

Moors Meadow will fascinate the gardener who loves to explore at all times of the year,  and each season brings with it new and pleasant surprises. There are no formal beds, no manicured lawns, traditional and contemporary styles intermmgle to form a unique style all of its own.

For those who like to see craftsmen at work there are two part-time blacksmith artists who are only too willing to show their skills.

There is abundant wildlife, including many species of butterflies, dragonflies, birds and mammals. The small nursery is stocked entÌrely with plants propagated from Moors Meadow.
