Ivycroft Garden & Nursery

E-mail
ImageThe garden, which was begun in 1997, surrounds a 17th century cottage set amongst rich grassland.

Close to the house are formal beds including espaliered pears, raised beds and a pergola giving plenty of scope for the display of many beautiful, interesting and unusual plants.

A bridge takes the visitor away from the front garden into more relaxed areas of grass surrounding borders of trees and shrubs, a seasonal pond, the wetland ecological treatment system of willows, rushes and irises, and a shady area of ferns and  hellebores.

Further on there is an orchard of pears and apples, a vegetable garden surrounded by trained apples and quinces - the asparagus bed has to be seen to be believed.

As with many plant lovers, over the years Roger and Sue Norman have amassed collections of plants such as snowdrops, cyclamen and ferns.  There should be something for everybody to enjoy.

There is a small nursery where many of the plants seen growing in the garden can be purchased.
