Image4 Star Self Catering Riverside Accommodation in Herefordshire.

Superb accommodation with beautiful riverside gardens, on edge of village, between Hereford & Leominster, 10 minutes walk from Englands' Gate, a country pub with good food. Plenty to do locally

The Setting
The house and cottages are set in five acres of riverside meadows, most of which you are free to walk in. They overlook the River Lugg and their gardens border the banks of the river. The pictured bridge is clearly visible from the cottages and the house.
You can start a variety of walks and cycling trips from here. The scenery is lovely and still very rural.

The village of Bodenham
We are on the edge of the village, ten minutes walk from the (see photo) England's Gate Inn, a country pub with good food. A garage and general stores are less than five minutes drive and there is also a Post Office and other shops. We have a historic church, chapel and a nine hole golf course. There is a Nature Reserve based on Bodenham lakes.

Within 10 miles
There's plenty to visit and do, including Hereford with its cathedral and Cider Museum, Leominster with its antique shops, Queenswood Country Park, Hampton Court Gardens, the Black and White villages, Shortwood Family Farm, Farmers' Markets, Broadfield Court Vineyard, Berrington Hall, Wellington Garden Centre and Craft Market and other golf courses and driving ranges.

Further afield
Ludlow (food and drink), Ross on Wye, Eastnor Castle, Cheltenham (shopping and horse racing), Malvern (walking and rural shows), Worcester (china and porcelain), Hay on Wye (books and art) are all easy days out. You can also explore over the border into Wales.

The River
The banks of the River Lugg and we have 300 yards of them, are designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Fifty species of birds have been seen including buzzard (daily), kingfisher, green sandpiper and dipper. Dragon flies and rabbits abound and you may be lucky to see an otter.
Trout, barbell, chub and grayling have been caught and we make no charge to guests for fishing from the banks.
You may launch your own canoe from our banks or from a public platform by the river bridge.

Rooms

Stay in a Border Oak house. The house was built at the end of the the 1990's, yet from the outside it looks as if it could have been built in the sixteenth century. Inside you get all the character of oak beams and log burners. Combine this with the benefits of modern plumbing and insulation and we really have got the best of both worlds.

We are no longer offering bed and breakfast accommodation but we have two rooms available in our house to supplement accommodation for self catering stays.

This may be for extra people or to bridge a gap in a longer stay.

Please note no meals are provided. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities and mini fridges. One room has a double and a single bed so may also be used as a twin room or for triple occupancy

Regretfully, we cannot accept pets. There is a no smoking policy in all of our accommodation.
