View from the High Peak TrailWhether you want a short walk or ride in the Derbyshire Countryside or are about to set off on the Pennine Bridleway, to explore the heritage of this historic railway or just to picnic whilst looking at the wildflowers or spectacular views, the High Peak Trail is the place for you.

 

At its southern end, where the trail meets the Cromford Canal, there are many easy walks in the Derwent Valley to choose from whilst up on the Limestone plateau you are really on top of it all with the White Peak stretching away for miles in all directions. Access is easy using the car parks and picnic sites along the way whilst information centres at Middleton Top, High Peak Junction and Parsley Hay can help you plan your day

A great way to explore the trail is by bike which can be hired at Middleton Top. 

The trail is flat (In sections !) and traffic free making it ideal for families.
