Derbyshire's best kept secretRenishaw Hall known as ‘Derbyshire’s best kept secret’ is fast becoming anything but a secret.  Despite the regional downward trend in visitor numbers, due to the increase in planned events at the hall, visitor numbers have increased dramatically.

The most popular events such as the Art & Craft Event, Plant fairs and open air theatre will be repeated, and in addition for 2007 other new events will include a Food & Farming Event, a Jazz in the Gardens evening and a mammoth World War 2 1940’s re-enactment weekend.

New exhibitions will be ‘Britain at War’ in the Performing Arts Gallery and the celebrated John Piper Gallery will house ‘ In the Footsteps of Piper’ displaying work from three generations of the Piper family.  New in the gardens will be ‘The Children’s Magical Garden’ offering more for families to enjoy, yet separate from and so as not to intrude on the tranquillity and mystery of the highly acclaimed Italianate gardens that have made Renishaw special for so many years.

Also there are many plans for the children’s garden, including :
* Childrens  trails
* Horticulture
* Art & Literature trail
* Adventure Zone to include, musical sculpture, climbing chains, a maze , chess game, badger set tunnel story telling area.

Also started at Renishaw are Childrens craft parties with resident artist Tracy White ‘Arty Parties’. There is so much happening at Renishaw Hall in 2007 !
