'There is an award winning cookshop with large kitchen theatre where free half hour demonstrations take place daily. There are various tours to choose from, including : The Craftroom Tour Tours at Denby are conducted in groups by experienced Tour Guides who explain how the pottery is made. There are two Pottery Tours to choose from; both include a video presentation and the opportunity to have fun. This most popular Tour is available everyday and is suitable for all ages and abilities. Find out about how Denby is made, then have fun painting a plate and making a frog* (*Fire to keep charge is £6.95. The frog is free to take home). Available: Daily at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm Adults: £4.50 Children/Senior Citizens: £3.50 Duration: approximately 60 minutes The Factory Tour The Tour to choose for an all round experience of Denby! See making, firing and glazing in the working factory, visit The Glass Studio then end your Tour in the Craftroom to paint a plate and make a frog* (*Fire to keep charge is £6.95. Available: Mondays to Thursdays at 10.30 and 1pm_Adults: £5.95 Children/Senior Citizens: £4.95 Duration: approximately 90 minutes Denby Home Store The new Denby Home Store was officially opened by James Martin on 28th August 2006 The new store shows Denby at its best in inspirational room settings including a dining area and fully working kitchen. There is a stunning Wedding List area where couples can relax over coffee and put together their gift list. Visit the extensive Denby Factory Shop full of bargains on Seconds. Browse around the other shops and visit the Museum. Refreshments are served in Bourne’s Restaurant, which is a light and airy newly converted building, with plenty of tables inside, and several tables outside - perfect for tea and scones. Eastnor Castle This fairytale castle is as dramatic inside as it is outside. A vast, 60 foot high Hall leads to a series of State Rooms and Gothic Drawing Room designed by Pugin, with its original furniture and to the Italian Renaissance style library which boasts magnificent views across the lake. |
